Hiba Baloch, from Sacramento California, is a rising second year pursuing a law degree at the University of California, Davis School of Law. Upon the completion of her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley she was named a 2017 Cal-in-Sacramento fellow with the California Department of Education (CDE.) In 2018, she joined CDE’s executive team as the Special Assistant to two State Superintendents of Public Instruction leading statewide policy initiatives and efforts to implement continuous improvement systems at CDE.
Hiba aspires to remove barriers from students who seek to access quality public education through improvement science, peer-to-peer learning, and the implementation of dual language programs in California public schools. She upholds her commitment in taking an unapologetic stance on justice and advocating for institution-wide changes and is eager to learn and strengthen her skills. Hiba is particularly interested in improving her knowledge of public law advocacy and uplifting disenfranchised communities through the law.
