Originally from Los Angeles, Jackie Schaeffer is a rising 2L at Stanford Law School. Her passion for public service was concretized during her time working with refugees at the Truman Institute for Peace in Jerusalem. After graduating from UCLA, Jackie was a Fellow in Public Affairs at Coro Northern California, where she was able to work for different agencies that spanned the range of the public affairs arena in the Bay Area.
Later this summer, she will be clerking for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Rwanda. In law school, she is involved with the Stanford Public Interest in the Law Foundation, a Development Editor for the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Journal, and a pro bono volunteer for the International Refugee Assistance Project. She is passionate about government accountability, oversight, consumer protection, and human rights work.
