Job Summary

Renne Public Law Group is in search of a Paralegal to join our team. You would be working with well-known and respected lawyers who are advising and defending public agencies throughout California.

Responsibilities & Duties

We are looking for a full-time experienced litigation paralegal who can assist our attorneys in preparation for trials, hearings, and other litigation matters. Candidates must be proficient in correspondence, preparation, and service of subpoenas, pleading, discovery, motions, calendaring depositions, and interaction with experts. We are looking for someone who will be able to take on our docketing and conflict check processes (with support as needed).

The position involves client contact, and attending off-site client meetings, court hearings and negotiations when needed. You will be expected to coordinate with associate attorneys and legal assistants to prepare the necessary documents for meetings.

Qualifications & Skills

Successful candidates must have strong academic credentials and writing abilities, as well as strong organizational and record-keeping skills. This candidate should be a fast thinker who is calm under pressure and has the ability to prioritize and keep track of multiple projects. Experience docketing and performing conflict checks is preferred. Proficiency in Word is required. Being a quick learner and a team player is a must. People skills, flexibility, poise, and a good sense of humor are also important.
