Renne Public Law Group is pleased to announce the launch of the Public Safety Reform and Innovation Webinar Series, taking place virtually on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. beginning Friday, March 12, 2021.
The six-week series is geared toward city and county officials, managers, police leadership, and others interested in actionable steps toward safer and more equitable police practices and alternative public safety models.
Public agencies across the nation are re-examining policing and public safety amidst public demands for reform, exploration of alternative approaches, and racial justice. Sponsored by Renne Public Law Group and the Institute for Local Government, this program will focus on reform and restructuring efforts.
Featuring presentations and brainstorming with leading policymakers, former police chiefs, experts in alternatives to traditional policing, and community advocates, the series will cover a variety of topics including oversight models, labor issues, best practices on use-of-force policies and crowd control, and alternative public safety approaches. Speakers will focus on concrete actions that government agencies can take in both the near and long term.
Registration is free and open to the public. Visit PublicLawGroup.com/PublicSafetyWebinar to learn more and register.
