Michael Redding is a Bay Area native with an abiding interest in creating a more effective and equitable criminal justice system. Having learned early on in law school that he was not quite Law Review Material, Michael spent as much of law school as he could in courts and prisons representing people accused of crimes. After law school he took a job as a state prosecutor in San Mateo County, CA, where he served as a Deputy D.A. for more than five years. He is most proud of his work creating a more collaborative domestic violence court in San Mateo. In 2019 he moved to Sacramento, where he currently serves as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Narcotics & Violent Crime Unit of the Eastern District of California. Michael is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Harvard Law School.
