ABOUT ETHAN PAWSON
Ethan Pawson is an associate in RPLG’s Litigation and Government practice groups. Mr. Pawson has experience in a wide variety of public law issues. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Crown Attorney Fellow with the Sonoma County Counsel’s Office. As a Crown Attorney Fellow, Mr. Pawson advised the County Board of Supervisors and several County agencies on issues focused on land use, natural resource and fire recovery issues.
In addition to his experience with the Sonoma County Counsel’s Office, Mr. Pawson was an intern at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office working with the Land Use Team. In this position, he advised the City’s Planning Department and Commission in public meetings, administrative hearings, and litigation matters. Mr. Pawson researched and briefed issues relating to the Housing Accountability Act, condominium conversion under the SF Subdivision Code, and water supply assessments in CEQA documents.
Earlier in law school, Mr. Pawson worked for a boutique land use firm, Monchamp Meldrum, LLP, a Native American Tribal government in San Diego County, and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC). He also interned for the Hon. Helen E. Williams, the designated CEQA judge for Santa Clara County Superior Court.
