RPLG Founding Partner Art Hartinger and Renne Public Policy Group (RPPG) Director, Government Affairs Dane Hutchings will provide insight on pensions and independent contractors at the 2020 League of California Cities City Managers Conference, which will take place from February 5-7 at the Meritage Resort in Napa.
The annual City Managers Conference brings together hundreds of city managers and county chief administrative officers to further their professional development, discuss timely issues and learn about new products, services and technologies to take back to their cities.
Mr. Hartinger and Mr. Hutching’s presentation, “Independent Contractors and CalPERS: How to Prepare, What to Avoid,” will explore the regulations and intricacies surrounding the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). Bringing their experience litigating this issue before CalPERS, the pair will share their understanding of applicable policy and legislative trends. They will present from 9:00-10:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 6.
