Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) Founding Partner Louise Renne and Of Counsel Linda Ross were named among Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers of 2019! This award honors 100 women lawyers practicing in California.
Louise Renne is a founding partner of RPLG. She served 16 years as San Francisco’s first female city attorney, where she transformed the defense-oriented office by instituting an affirmative litigation program that, among other successes, won more than $500 million for the city in the massive tobacco industry settlement. Today, Ms. Renne is involved in work for other local institutions and is helming a shareholder derivative suit involving Google Inc. and its parent Alphabet Inc.
Linda Ross brings over 20 years of vast knowledge in public law after serving San Francisco as General Counsel to the Mayor’s Office under then Mayor Gavin Newsom, and as Chief Labor Attorney and General Counsel for the Police Commission and the Police Department. Since leaving the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, she has been in private practice, representing public entities in a wide variety of public law matters. Currently, Ms. Ross is readying for oral argument before the State Supreme Court on a critical pension reform case that could relieve local governments of paying some non-vested benefits.
Congratulations to these outstanding lawyers!
