Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) is excited to welcome 10 students to its seventh annual Public Law Fellowship Program. Running from May 22 to June 5, the program offers law and public affairs students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in local government law and policy.
The Public Law Fellowship is a two-week remote program designed to immerse students in the legal and policy issues facing cities, counties and other local public agencies. Fellows participate in interactive sessions with mayors, councilmembers and experienced public law attorneys and engage in substantive discussions on timely local government topics. Each fellow is paired with an RPLG attorney mentor and completes an original research project focused on a local government law issue.
The 2026 cohort includes Adam Chan, Boston University School of Law; Olivia Grimes, University of California, Berkeley School of Law; Grace Han, University of California, Los Angeles School of Law; Micah Meghreblian, University of North Carolina School of Law; Lisbeth Rosales, University of San Diego School of Law; Sofi Sargsyan, Southwestern Law School; Alejandro Valdivia, University of Southern California Gould School of Law; and Grace Pating, Alisha Singh and William Stieg, University of California College of the Law San Francisco.
The 2026 Fellows share a strong commitment to public service and local government, with professional interests spanning municipal governance, labor and employment law, civil rights and community-centered policy development. Several have held leadership roles with academic journals or in student organizations, while others bring hands-on experience through work with public agencies, elected officials and nonprofit organizations. Together, they bring intellectual rigor and a genuine dedication to public service that will enrich the program’s collaborative learning environment.
“The energy and talent of our 2026 cohort are truly inspiring as we tackle some serious issues in public law today,” said Founding Partner Jon Holtzman. “We are excited to welcome these individuals into our practice. They bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to our team and to the public agencies we serve.”
RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, nonprofit entities, individuals and private entities in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions.
