She has served as community development director in a wide range of cities, from Santa Ana to Laguna Beach to San Leandro.

June has overseen large capital improvement projects, marinas, library and city hall construction, general plans and housing elements and complex commercial and residential projects. She is known for her ability to attract and retain highly competent and sought-after staff.

“I am excited to join RPMG and have the opportunity to provide strategic advice to city managers and councils,” said June. “I hope to bring extensive management experience, expertise in negotiations and a focus on improving staff performance and communications, I am eager to contribute to RPMG’s mission and help cities tackle their major challenges.”

Starting her municipal career in the City of Huntington Beach’s development services department, June quickly proved herself as a capable professional, subsequently holding community development director positions in cities such as Laguna Beach and Santa Ana within Orange County. She then ventured into the private sector as the director of planning at Baker & McKenzie’s San Francisco office, providing guidance on land and resource development.

Driven by her dedication to public service, June returned to municipal work as the director of development services for the City of San Leandro. Her remarkable leadership not only earned the City the prestigious Helen Putnam award but also brought recognition to its outstanding residential seismic strengthening program. She dealt with issues ranging from marina and municipal golf course improvements to joint projects with Alameda County and the City of Oakland.

Progressing into city management, she served as assistant city manager in Milpitas, overseeing complex projects such as constructing a new city hall and handling negotiations of solid waste rate structures. She then excelled as city manager for the City of Martinez, which is the county seat of Contra Costa County.

Most recently, June served as the city manager for the City of Pleasant Hill for an impressive 17-year tenure. Her leadership was instrumental in numerous accomplishments, including the successful design and construction of a new library, the development of a comprehensive general plan and housing element and the implementation of an efficient online permitting system.
