Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) is excited to share that seven attorneys have earned 2026 Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Recognition. These honors are based on a multi-phase, rigorous process that includes independent research, peer nominations and reviews.
Four RPLG attorneys were named Rising Stars, a distinction acknowledging attorneys under 40 or with fewer than 10 years of practice who demonstrate exceptional professional achievement. Partner and Head of Appellate Practice Ryan McGinley-Stempel earned his fourth consecutive recognition, this year in appellate law. Senior Associate Imran Dar received his third recognition in general litigation and Associate Mauricio Grande secured his second recognition in labor and employment. Associate Maribel Lopez debuted on the list in labor and employment.
“Earning my first recognition as a ‘Rising Star’ is a meaningful milestone,” said Maribel. “I am grateful to work alongside colleagues who are deeply committed to public service and the firm’s mission.”
Founding Partners Art Hartinger and Jon Holtzman secured their 21st consecutive year of recognition as 2026 Northern California Super Lawyers. Over the last two decades, Art and Jon have played a pivotal role in the public law sector, representing and supporting public agencies and communities throughout California. Of Counsel Geoff Spellberg also earned Super Lawyer recognition for the second consecutive year, reflecting his continued contributions to the firm’s labor and employment practice and service to clients.
“RPLG is made up of intelligent, passionate attorneys who are firmly committed to serving the public,” said RPLG Chair Louise Renne. “These recognitions highlight the depth of talent within our firm, and the passion our attorneys bring to serving local agencies and communities across California.”
