Renne Public Management Group (RPMG) welcomes Consultant Patty Kong. With more than 30 years of experience in local government finance, Patty brings expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and accounting. She also has a proven track record of leading the request for proposal process and strengthening financial controls for local agencies.

“Patty’s deep expertise in local government and her strong background in financial planning and budgeting make her a tremendous asset to our team,” said RPMG Executive Director Nelson Fialho. “Her experience guiding agencies through complex projects and delivering data-driven solutions will provide exceptional value to our clients.”

Before joining RPMG, Patty served as the finance and administrative services director and city auditor for the City of Mountain View, where she guided the city through three major economic downturns while maintaining balanced budgets and ensuring long-term fiscal sustainability. Patty also helped establish the initial banking relationship for Silicon Valley Clean Energy, a public, not-for-profit agency that provides clean electricity for residents and local businesses. Earlier in her career, Patty was a manager at KPMG, a global network of independent professional services firms, providing audit services to improve local government operations and efficiencies.

“Those experiences taught me the importance of planning for resilience,” said Patty. “Many of RPMG’s clients face similar challenges and I understand how critical it is to align financial strategies with community priorities.”

Patty, a certified public accountant, holds a B.S. with honors in business administration with a concentration in accounting from San José State University.

“RPMG offers an exciting opportunity to partner with talented colleagues who are passionate about strengthening local governments,” said Patty. “I look forward to helping agencies build strong financial foundations that support sustainable growth and the delivery of essential community services.”
