Alex Lemberg joined Renne Public Law Group this March as an associate in the firm’s litigation and government practice groups. Previously a Bridge Fellow at Open Door Legal in San Francisco’s Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhood, Lemberg interned with Federal Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler in the Northern District of California, the California Supreme Court Capital Central Staff and the Eviction Defense Collaborative. He also has served as the executive comments editor and executive outside articles editor of the Golden Gate University Law Review and on the board of directors of Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF), a Bay Area LGBT bar association.
Lemberg holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was director and vice president of the Berkeley Student Cooperative and chair of the Berkeley Undergraduate Geographers. He recently earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University, School of Law, where he received the Outstanding Achievement in Public Interest Law Award. He is a member of the board of directors of the GLBT Historical Society and the Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association.
