2024 Public Law Fellowship CohortFrom May 17 to May 31, Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) will welcome a record eight students to its fifth annual Public Law Fellowship Program. The program introduces law and public affairs students to local government practice.
The 2024 cohort includes Michelle Embury, Boston University School of Law; Danielle Garcia, Stella Linardi and Hannah Reynolds Martinez, University of California, Los Angeles Law; Jeannette Geter, LSW Golden Gate University, School of Law; Samuel Pumarejo, Santa Clara University School of Law; Astonique Robinson, University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School; and Colin Ryan, Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.

With professional interests ranging from environmental justice to public policy to LGBTQ+ advocacy, each member of the cohort contributes a unique perspective and experience that will amplify the program’s collaborative learning opportunities. Some fellows have edited university legal publications while others have completed internships with the United States House of Representatives, Massachusetts Land Court, Environmental Defense Fund, American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California and Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

“We are particularly excited to host this group of fellows, as it represents one of our largest cohorts to date,” said Founding Partner Jon Holtzman. “The diverse experiences these law students bring to the program align with our mission of engaging law and public affairs students in critical discussions about a range of public sector issues and topics. We look forward to the collaborative exchange of unique perspectives during the program’s panel discussions and activities.”

RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, nonprofit entities, individuals and private entities in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions.
