Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) welcomes Sarah Goldwasser to the firm as an associate. Sarah will support the firm’s litigation and labor and employment practice groups serving public agencies and nonprofits throughout California.

Sarah joins RPLG from BraunHagey & Borden LLP, where she worked as an associate attorney handling complex commercial litigation, arbitration and corporate counseling matters. She drafted motions, prepared for trial and advised clients on disputes involving financial services, trade secrets, employment and privacy issues.
Prior to her work in private practice, Sarah served as an assistant United States attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California through the Attorney General’s Honors Program, where she prosecuted federal criminal cases and made hundreds of court appearances. She previously clerked for the Honorable Diana Song Quiroga in the Southern District of Texas and externed for the Honorable William H. Alsup in the Northern District of California, contributing to substantive criminal and civil rulings.
“Sarah brings impressive courtroom experience and a strong foundation in both criminal and civil litigation,” said Founding Partner Jon Holtzman. “Her background in federal prosecution and complex litigation will be a valuable asset to our clients and team.”
Sarah earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Fellowship and Pro Bono Honors Award, competed in the McBaine Honors Moot Court and the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She earned her B.A. in rhetoric, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
