RPLG Partner Teresa Stricker.

The League of California Cities recently appointed RPLG Founding Partner Teresa Stricker as Chair of the City Attorneys’ Division’s Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Committee for the next two years.

“I am honored to chair this group,” said Ms. Stricker. “The FPPC Committee advances the interests of public agencies statewide by helping to improve, shape and develop the Political Reform Act through legal advocacy and legislative programs, and by supporting the legal advice public officials receive about the Act’s requirements.”

The FPPC Committee is composed of city attorneys from across the state who regularly provide Political Reform Act guidance to public officials. The Committee is responsible for advising the FPPC of city concerns and practical implications of proposed policies, and updating League publications that equip city attorneys with guidance when providing Political Reform Act advice.

Ms. Stricker, who currently serves as the Town Attorney for the Town of Corte Madera, has been a member of the FPPC Committee since March 2019. She started her term as chair in May 2020, following Pleasanton City Attorney Daniel Sodergren’s tenure.

RPLG has a longstanding partnership with the League of California Cities. Among other ties, RPLG Of Counsel Randy Riddle previously served as chair for the FPPC Committee, and the League was Renne Public Policy Group’s first client. Renne Public Law Group is a silver-level sponsor of the League for 2020.

RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, nonprofit entities, individuals and private entities in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions.
