About

Gina Anderson, a consultant with Renne Public Management Group (RPMG), brings more than 33 years of experience in public safety, law and independent investigations. She specializes in personnel investigations, organizational assessments, policy compliance and executive advisory services for public agencies.

Before joining the firm, Gina served as chief of police for the City of Newark, where she led organizational reforms focused on accountability, transparency and operational effectiveness. Her work there emphasized technology integration and the development of systems to address crime trends and community quality-of-life issues. Following her retirement, she served as interim chief of police for the cities of Pleasanton and Albany, providing executive leadership and organizational guidance during transitional periods.

Earlier in her career, Gina spent more than 13 years with the Citrus Heights Police Department as a founding member of the command staff, rising from lieutenant to assistant chief. She was instrumental in building the department’s professional standards and training unit, developing policy infrastructure and overseeing complex personnel investigations and critical incidents. She began her career with the City of Davis in 1992, serving in specialized roles including detective, SWAT team operator, hostage negotiations team leader and supervisor of internal affairs.

In addition to her law enforcement career, Gina serves as principal of the Law Office of Gina L. Anderson, through which she provides legal research, independent personnel investigations and executive advisory support to public agencies.

Gina is a licensed California attorney and a graduate of the FBI National Academy. She holds a juris doctor from McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific and a bachelor of arts degree in political science and government from the University of the Pacific.

At the firm, Gina looks forward to combining her legal expertise and her experience in the field to support clients as a part of RPMG’s new public safety team
