About
Jeremy Bowers is a public safety executive with nearly 30 years of law enforcement leadership experience across both large urban agencies and community-focused jurisdictions. He is known for his collaborative, transparent leadership style and ability to guide complex organizations and deliver effective, community-centered public safety services.
Jeremy joined Renne Public Management Group (RPMG) after serving as chief of police for the City of Piedmont. Prior to that role, he spent nearly two decades with the San Jose Police Department, rising through the ranks and developing experience in operations, investigations, training and organizational leadership.
Over the course of his career, Jeremy has led efforts to modernize public safety operations, advance organizational planning and strengthen community trust. His work has emphasized thoughtful leadership, strong community engagement and practical, data-informed approaches to improving organizational effectiveness.
At RPMG, Jeremy leads the public safety team, working with clients to align organizational practices and policies through compliance audits, guide agencies through post-incident processes and proactively implement risk management strategies. He looks forward to utilizing his expertise to advise clients on organizational planning and public safety initiatives, emphasizing a listening-first approach and a commitment to helping agencies navigate challenging situations and best serve their communities.
Jeremy holds a master of advanced study degree in criminology, law and society from the University of California, Irvine, and a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice administration from San José State University.
