ABOUT
Yusof Nazari represents public entities in administrative and civil matters, with a focus on government tort liability, employment and civil rights issues. He brings experience from both private practice and the public sector, offering a well-rounded and strategic approach to litigation.
Before joining Renne Public Law Group, Yusof served as an associate attorney at Hawkins, Parnell & Young, LLP in San Francisco, where he managed a diverse caseload of over 30 matters, from initial filings of complaints to final resolutions, on issues including government tort liability, employment and civil rights issues. He has successfully argued numerous dispositive motions in state and federal courts, including motions for summary judgment, demurrers and discovery motions.
Yusof previously clerked for the Honorable Judge Jeffrey S. Ross at the San Francisco Superior Court, supporting cases involving financial regulation, police misconduct, employment, public works and public entity liability.
His public sector experience also includes work with the National Labor Relations Board and an externship with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, where he worked on issues including diversity, social security appeals, and constitutional speech.
He earned his J.D. from UC Law San Francisco, where he served as a Staff Editor for the UC Hastings Science and Technology Law Journal and received the 2020 UC Hastings Leadership Award. He is fluent in English and Farsi.
