On May 16, 2019, a jury in Alameda County returned a complete defense verdict for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. A Children’s Hospital Oakland employee alleged harassment against her former supervisor, including unsubstantiated allegations of racial comments. Children’s Hospital, trusting in its internal investigations of the incident that found no support for the employee’s allegations, authorized the Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) to take the case to trial.
Despite a few generous evidentiary rulings for plaintiff, RPLG attorneys Geoff Spellberg and Ian Long relied on their significant trial experience to expose the flaws in plaintiff’s case. The jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the Hospital.
