Teresa StrickerMs. Stricker is a founding partner of Renne Public Law Group, and previously served as the firm’s managing partner. With more than two decades of legal experience, she advises and represents public agency clients, and nonprofits that manage public funds, on a wide range of government law matters.

Ms. Stricker serves as Town Attorney for the Town of Corte Madera, District Counsel for Sanitary District Number 2 of Marin County, and General Counsel for The East Cut Community Benefit District and the Downtown Community Benefit District. She is also a member of the Fair Political Practices Commission Committee of the League of California Cities.

From July 2016 to May 2017, Ms. Stricker served as Interim City Attorney for the City of Santa Rosa, where she advised elected and appointed City officials, attended City Council meetings, supervised litigation, managed the City’s 14-member legal department and assisted in formulating a recruitment for a new in-house City Attorney.

Ms. Stricker also formerly served as General Counsel for San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission, Assistant General Counsel for Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District, and Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco and the City of Brisbane.

Ms. Stricker was named a Corporate Counsel and Inside Counsel’s 2018 Women in Law Honoree. Prior to the formation of Renne Public Law Group, Ms. Stricker was Of Counsel at Renne Sloan Holtzman Sakai. Before joining Renne Sloan Holtzman Sakai, she served as a Deputy City Attorney on the Government Team at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.

Prior to joining the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, Ms. Stricker was a litigation associate at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, where she represented local government entities and private sector clients in federal and state courts. Ms. Stricker was among a team of lawyers representing public entities statewide as creditors in Orange County bankruptcy proceedings.

Ms. Stricker received her bachelor’s from The Johns Hopkins University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota, Law School.
