Louise Renne is a founding partner of RPLG and was previously a founding partner of Renne Sloan Holtzman Sakai (RSHS) Public Law Group. Renne pioneered the model of public interest plaintiff coalitions comprised of government agencies, individuals, and non-profit organizations during her 16-year tenure as San Francisco City Attorney. She is known for transforming the traditionally defense-oriented practice of municipal law by creating an affirmative litigation program that won significant victories for cities and counties in California. Nationally recognized and respected as a leader in municipal law, Renne was named a Super Lawyer in the State, Local & Municipal category.

Since 2005, and every year since, Jon Holtzman has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer. He was named a Super Lawyer in the Employment & Labor category for 2018. Holtzman is a founding partner of RPLG and was previously a founding partner of RSHS. His practice focuses on assisting government agencies maintaining and expanding public services through strategic consulting, negotiations, fact finding, arbitration and litigation. He specializes in addressing long-term structural issues relating to pensions and vested rights, and is one of the leading voices on public sector employment litigation.

With a practice focused on labor and employment law for over 33 years, Arthur Hartinger has been continually honored as a Super Lawyer since 2004. A founding partner of RPLG and previously a partner at RSHS, Hartinger was named a 2018 Super Lawyer in the Employment & Labor category. He has been recognized as one of the Daily Journal’s “Top 75 Labor & Employment Attorneys,” “Top 20 Municipal Lawyers in California,” and “Top 100 Lawyers in California” throughout the years. Hartinger represents public and private clients in complex state and federal litigation pertaining to all types of labor and employment issues.

Geoffrey Spellberg has over 30 years of litigation experience in the fields of labor and employment law, construction law, and complex business and real estate litigation. He has served as lead counsel in over 100 trials. He has also handled numerous arbitrations and administrative hearings, and developed a successful plaintiff’s practice, which has resulted in recovering tens of millions for his clients in just the last few years. Spellberg was named a Northern California Super Lawyer in the category of General Litigation.

Randy Riddle possesses a unique combination of government law and public ethics experience, having served as Chief Counsel to the California Secretary of State and General Counsel to the San Francisco Ethics Commission. In 2012, he was honored as one of California’s Top 25 Municipal Attorneys by the Daily Journal and was first named a Super Lawyer in the area of political law in 2006.
