Renne Public Law Group congratulates Linda Ross on her promotion to the partnership as of February 2020.
“Linda is a cornerstone of our firm due to her impressive energy, experience and passion for public law,” said Founding Partner Louise Renne. “I look forward to seeing her practices continue to develop as they step into the partnership role. I’m especially pleased that, with Linda’s promotion, the majority of RPLG’s partners are women. Not many law firms have this level of female representation on their leadership team.”
Ross, who has been with the RPLG team as an Of Counsel attorney since the firm’s founding, has garnered state-wide recognition for her public sector work. After receiving her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, Ross focused on public-sector pension and labor cases. While working for City and County of San Francisco City Attorneys Louise Renne and Dennis Herrera, she served as General Counsel to then-Mayor Gavin Newsom, Chief Labor Attorney and General Counsel for the Police Commission and the Police Department. Her continued work on high-profile pension and labor cases led to the Daily Journal’s recognition of Ross as a 2019 Top 100 Women Lawyer in California.
RPLG practices public law and public interest law throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, and nonprofits in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions. For more information, visit www.publiclawgroup.com.
